Cabinet approves GoI's commitment to Rs.10,000 crore towards establishment of SME Growth Fund

The Union Cabinet has authorized the Government of India’s pledge of Rs.10,000 crore for the creation of the Small and Medium Enterprises Growth Fund (SGF), designed to stimulate growth-focused capital for India's Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and facilitate the development of leading Indian enterprises across manufacturing, services, technology, innovation-driven sectors, and strategic value chains, consistent with Para 28 of Union Budget 2026-27. This action forms a component of the comprehensive series of announcements detailed in Union Budget 2026-27, concentrating on delivering equity, liquidity, and professional support to the broader MSME ecosystem.
